Fall Plant Sale (Oct. 17-19, 2025) Kick off the season by refreshing your home or garden at the Fall Plant

Sale. With over 30,000 desert-adapted plants, from vibrant cacti to resilient succulents, this event is perfect for Valley

residents looking to enhance their outdoor spaces. Reserve your spot early to snag the best picks and expert advice for

thriving desert gardens.

Framerate: Desert Pulse (Oct. 11, 2025 – May 10, 2026) Immerse yourself in the Sonoran Desert’s

emotional and visual energy with “Desert Pulse,” a multi-sensory art exhibit by ScanLAB Projects. This captivating installation

uses cutting-edge 3D scanning to bring the desert’s dynamic beauty to life. Learn more about the technology behind it at the

“Desert Views: A Conversation Series” (Nov. 6), where experts dive into the art and science of this exhibit.

Family-Friendly Fun

The Garden is a haven for young explorers. “Cactus Clubhouse”

(Thursdays–Sundays, Oct. 11 – May 10) offers a nature-inspired

play space for kids 12 and under, sparking curiosity through hands-

on activities. For the littlest nature lovers, “Storytime” (select dates in

Oct., Nov., and Dec.) engages children five and under with stories,

songs, and playful introductions to the desert. Don’t miss “Strange

Garden” (Oct. 24-25), a “boo-tanical” adventure featuring live music,

immersive experiences, and encounters with fascinating creatures.

Cultural Celebrations

The Garden honors the region’s rich heritage with vibrant cultural

events. “Día de Muertos” (altar on view Oct. 31 – Nov. 3, festival

Nov. 1-2) features a stunning open-air community altar crafted by

Oaxacan artisans, offering a moving tribute to loved ones. The

“Plants & People of the Sonoran Desert Celebration” (Nov. 10-16,

festival weekend Nov. 15-16) invites visitors to explore Indigenous

traditions through hands-on discovery stations and artisan vendors.

For a lively twist, “Lotería Nights” (Nov. 13) brings the iconic Mexican

game to life with vibrant vibes and exciting prizes.

Art and Music Under the Stars

Creative souls will find plenty to inspire. The “Desert Studio: Emerging Artists Series” (Oct. 17, Nov. 14) showcases up-and-coming

musicians with never-before-heard albums, perfect for music lovers and Garden members. “Bar Flies: Live at Desert Pulse” (Oct. 23,

Nov. 20) pairs storytelling with the themes of the “Desert Pulse” exhibit, creating an unforgettable evening. For a culinary crescendo,

the “Devour Culinary Classic” (Feb. 21-22) returns as Arizona’s premier tasting event, showcasing eclectic fare from local chefs.
