More Than a Boutique: A Collection of Global Flavors
The name “Pink Rain” evokes a sense of whimsy and
imagination—a fitting moniker for a place that celebrates vibrant
textures and colors. Interestingly, the boutique’s origins are just as
colorful. It was a literal accident that brought the name to her mind,
but you will have to visit and ask her about that in person. When she
took over ownership of “Shabby Chic” from Cindi B., after managing
it for a year, Christel infused it with a renewed sense of style and
sophistication, transforming it into a must-visit destination.
Christel’s global influences are evident in the carefully curated
inventory. She handmakes denim pieces for her Denim Atelier,
while also sourcing sweaters from France and Italy, linens from
Europe, Moroccan rayon and cotton, and luxurious silk from
India. Items within her collection of scarves, textiles, and
accessories support artisans and villages around the world,
reflecting her commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion.
A Lifestyle Allure
Beyond clothing, Christel’s love of design extends to her
personal style, often seen sporting her own boutique
creations while jetting about in her sports car—an ode
to her spirited personality. She believes clothing should
be as layered and eclectic as life itself—sublime yet
playful, as exemplified by her collection of rare Velvet
robes, white furs, and vibrant scarves.
